Five years and a couple hours ago, I watched our website go live. The very first page of the comic I was making with my boyfriend of less than a year was online. Each and every one of the characters had existed in our brains for less than a month, and the overall shape of the story for barely longer than that. I had hardly read any comics and had no idea what I was getting into, but was fueled entirely by an immediate love for the characters and world we were creating.
Five years later… me and Victor are still together (out of college with jobs and a dog!), my art has gotten a bit better, our cast has expanded to include all these guys and more, and we’ve still got so far to go. As we finish up the prequel this summer, the fall should introduce us to a chapter I’ve been looking forward to for over two years, and a character many of you have asked about (although I’m afraid it’s not The First).
The insight, humor and dedication of you readers make this all worthwhile. Thanks for joining us on this journey!
Speaking of which, I’m going to be on a trip this next week, so I’ll probably leave this anniversary picture up. If you want to send in some fanart though, I’ll be able to update and post it here! Here’s what we have so far:

I believe she is a lava elemental from the arc where Skarva was looking for a dungeon to rent out.

IIRC she is Pamela. She didn’t have a name originally, but we gave her one.

It has been quite a long time, huh? I know I’ve been commenting a lot less lately, but I haven’t stopped reading! I’ve just been really busy with life and a lot of other things a bit more personal. Enough about me, you two have been at this for five years! That is awesome! It has been a bumpy ride, but how far you have gotten in these five years is nothing short of amazing and I am grateful to be a witness of it. Your work has given me a smile every page and that is something I cherish. I wish I could give a bit to show it, more than just words.
It might be a bit vexing, but here is to another great five; make it into the double digits! I know you can! Cheers!

A bumpy ride indeed! We’ve been through a lot as individuals and a couple in that time… new jobs, other creative endeavors, moving… but we’re committed to seeing this comic through until the story is told! It’s just taking a whole lot longer than we initially thought ^_^; But y’know, that’s ok. It gives me time to get better as an artist and give the characters and world the quality they deserve.
Life sure does happen… I went out of town for a week and busted up my hand. It’s all cool, just not easy to draw atm.

But first of all, congratulations on five years! It’s really impressive that you managed to put in all of that dedication, and it clearly shows that the world had a lot of care and love put into it. Even if I started reading only fairly recently, it’s been a ride so far
Watching the art being drawn was also really nice, and I still love the little Mr. The Wizard XD I’ll try drawing up some fanart as well.
