I’d like to give a special mention to Chynna Miller, who has drawn a whole lot of wonderful stuff for us, and I’d be remiss (a word which here means “a big ol jerk”) if I didn’t mention her own comic!
Speaking of that, we turn 2 on June 4th, so if you’ve always wanted to make us something, now would be a good time to get around to it. But only if you really want! A gift begged for and not freely given is hardly a gift at all!

It’s nice to draw some emotion breaking through the ennui of her life.
I’ve definitely thought of doing fan art for this comic before, though I’ve seen most of the people that do have their names like linked back to whatever they do and I don’t exactly have something like that yet. I want to like get started on a comic or something but one of my ideas lately fell apart and well I haven’t figured out anything else yet (which bugs me since normally I’m great at coming up with stuff). Though the fact it’s the comic’s birthday soon is making me think maybe I shouldn’t wait…. ugh stupid brain.
Well, if you do want to send us something and decide to start a comic later, just let us know and I’ll modify the fanart description (and read it, and do what I can to support you)!
And it’s not like everyone who sends us something has their own huge creative project, sometimes it’s just deviantArt or Tumblr.

Good lord, what is it about people and love? I’ve never had feelings for anyone, but with the way people talk it sounds terrible.
Love potion #9 was the most heinous poison Skærva ever made.

Haha, sometimes I say things that make it come off that I’m cynical about love, but I’m really anything but. Although it has a lot of painful aspects that I don’t deny, and it doesn’t always end prettily, I think most people would rather love and lose than never love at all. Sometimes I’m a little cynical for others’ sake, but not for my own. I wound up with a guy who makes comics and plays video games with me and plays the accordion, I think I’m pretty lucky.
Unrequited love is something I’m interested in. On the one hand, it can enrich your life by providing you with a giddiness and appreciation for beauty you might not otherwise have – I think Blank would tell you he wouldn’t give up his feelings for Veronika despite that she never gives him so much as a kiss on the nose. On the other hand, the obsession can be unhealthy and destructive (see: Slice and Gilly).
Noooooo. Don’t give them any ideas. The last thing I need to see is shipping fanart of these two with Blank having giant watery anime eyes.
Derk x Bacon is my OTP. It’s practically canon.
I’m not saying I’m not open to love in real life.
I’m just saying that fiction/the media sometimes makes it look less than desirable, with all the drama and whatnot.
Look, I think the line “Derk came to me in the night” was already enough to give people ideas if they tend that way.
I mean, in real life love IS dramatic. But I think fiction can sometimes portray dangeorus ideas about it. As if you can find someone who is “perfect” and you’ll have a fairy tale ending and sing songs about love every day and never fight. I mean, I love Disney movies but you know Belle and Prince Adam (yeah) eventually are gonna get into a fight about farting in bed or something. OR on the other hand, that marriage is a prison and people are going to inevitably cheat on each other, etc. The truth is somewhere in the middle.
Blank, you should know by now that You Can’t Thwart Stage One.
You have to let Skaerva ALMOST finish his plan before you warn the people.
If Blank stopped Skarva now, he wouldn’t have any adventures to go on or an excuse to break pots. He’d just have to go back and sit in his little house. How boring!
He’s going to be milling around for quite awhile waiting for Skarva to kidnap the princess then, seeing as how he’s off having other adventures…

I’ll have you know that I just spent several hours of my life agonizing through a horrible internet connection so that I could read this thing all the way through from the beginning. IT WAS AWESOME AND TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! Ok there. Also, I love the way every character has his/her own font. That’s genius. Thank you for this awesomeness =]

I’m also glad you like the font thing. Some people do, some don’t. But I’m quite fond of the concept, even if it makes comic-making more difficult overall.
