Davis is just happy that his feet touch the ground

I drew way too much of this comic.
Altermentality:
Victor helped me out with this comic. I got really sick yesterday. Maybe it was the sushi I ate for breakfast? I don’t know, I don’t care. All the food has been really great here.
Hah, I thought you were going to miss today’s. =O Good as always, plus, because I have to do it, even though I probably shouldn’t, but I will anyways, and someone will get mad at me for doing this, but I don’t care: First! XD (Also, from the last comment you made, I use a lot of smilies too. Really helps get the tone of the text down.)
I know, right? I feel the same way about emoticons. Some people think they’re obnoxious… but actually I had a linguistics professor who brought up the good point that they’re a new form of punctuation which people have created, because what is punctuation but the way we express the mood and tone of a sentence?
Friday’s just might be late too because I have to get back home to Texas tomorrow :/ But it’ll definitely be there before the day is done!
Pretty good point. That is what punctuation is for. So yea, I’ll look forward to the next piece. =D Also, I got a Gravatar. Make myself known. =P
ok i have to say it: ecta (thats her name right?) has the BEST expressions! the past few comics have been funny but this last pannel is the best. oh jeez i laughed so hard!
I agree completely. :3
Slice: Oh no, we certainly can’t take it from you then!
Floyd: I see. Let’s consider a new plan.
Davis: Ugh, I can’t believe we walked all the way out here for nothing.
Ecta: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
The fruits in panel 5 have THE BEST expressions.
Watermelon: lolidunno
Banana: hai gaiz
Upside-down thingy: derp derp
See, Victor’s drawings are cute!
He thinks I only say that to be nice.
told u. deku tree reference
Have you always been from Hyrule or did you just move there?
no, i just conquered Albion, and now im currently gonna take hyrule over sooner or later. and if it makes Ektaw feel better, tell her i said its Eckteam.
Ecta+ Team= Eckteam
and Davis team: trade skarevahs free mug. or show them the snow man.
Oh no, do you know what Ecta would do to you if she heard you calling their little group the “Davis team?” You better run, run my friend.
Hmmmmm, Frostbite Fortress mug that you can get for five bucks in the gift shop, for extremely rare and precious flower? Sounds legit
but its also a limited addition.
Heheh, it looks as though Ecta is about to do something… rash. *grins in hopeful anticipation*
As to the Lii flower, hmm… Given that the potion has, I seem to recall, been made before, Lii flowers have presumably been harvested before. How was this handled previously? If there is only ever one Lii flower at a time, then waiting for a “backup” to grow shouldn’t work. Is there a known delay before a new Lii flower can be produced?
On the other hand, since the Mother Tree seems to generate plants, how is the loss of the Lii a problem? Would the Mother Tree not simply produce a new one in time?
The Lii flower is a known ingredient for a very potent love potion. The potion has probably been created at least once before, but there’s no saying that it was recently. Skärva has access to plenty of other love potion recipes; it’s likely that most of them have failed. The Lii flower makes for a much more effective one. The Mother Tree would produce another Lii flower in time, but it’s a rare plant that takes a while to produce. The Tree works in mysterious ways, and its less common children often take longer to grow than the rest.
Keep in mind that, while the Lii flower is very rare, it could grow elsewhere. The Mother Tree is the best-known source for rare ingredients, however, and the Lii flower’s other habitats aren’t really common knowledge.
More questions will be answered in the next comic.
Aah, fair enough, and thank you for the explanation. ^_^
And indeed, the subsequent comic has expanded on the reasons that the plant-people are unwilling to hand it over. ^_^
By the way, I think that I rather like the way that you’ve handled the flow of text boxes in the third panel, including bringing the first box’s tail in from the first panel. ^_^
