More like he just isn’t on a new one yet. They’d probably get smashed somehow before he has to fight Skärva again. Maybe Skärva sends a minion team to get rid of Blank’s bottles and steal away his major items before each new scheme.
Actually, given the source material of this comic, Derk should probably be asking Zelda’s half-analogue: Veronika. Zelda always knew a lot about the gods…
…But I feel as though that may not be valid here, given that she’s seemingly only a half-analogue to Zelda…Zelda, while occasionally kidnapped, etc. also did things and helped out the hero. Veronika, from what we’ve seen, does not appear to do a similar thing.
Eh, try not to conflate Idenau and Hyrule TOO much. While Blank is definitely a parody of an actual character, as it allows for a lot of jokes, he’s still his own person… and the others are parodies of archetypal roles and tropes, but of specific characters, not so much.
Veronika is more like a jaded Princess Peach, if anything
my gods, how poor is blank… that make sence that he loves the princes because he might have more that 4 jars one day…. and throw down the trusty sword how sad blank how sad
Awww. Hahaha… well, Blank loves the Princess for more than her riches, although they WOULD be nice, I’m sure. You think with all the money and treasure he finds just lying around, he could move out of this cabin, but he probably donates it all to charity after each adventure. What a hero.
The princess should give some material reward for his efforts…a manse, a title, gold and servants, because she is becoming more and more indebted to him every time he rescues her…it must be very awkward for her when he tries to gain her heart and she doesn’t want him back but doesn’t feel morally entitled to send him away (because of all those time he saved her).
The princess and Blank don’t seem to be doing much better than Skärva, on overall. They win, but only to go back to the starting point every time, they never improve, the princess is kidnapped constantly, and Blank doesn’t receive any kind of reward for his efforts. No wonder all of them seem so bitchy/bitter. I guess that, in a way, they are justified in their resentment towards Skärva, since he’s the one who keeps the stupid cycle going on…
By the way, since Skärva’s treasury is the origin of all those piles of treasure Blank finds around all the time, and he also has enough cash to hire those castles and dungeons and minions…couldn’t he buy himself a nice little kingdom and be done with it?
With how few bottles he has, it makes the statement he made with the dropping of the love potion so much more powerful.
After all, he could have just dumped it out and kept the bottle.
To be perfectly honest Blanks font and the way he laughs, kinda enrages me XD
and today’s related comics arrrrre
A Sound Plan
The next few comics will simply continue to zoom out of that frame
Come on, it’s never that obvious!
That is a small key by Idenau standards
And then they were chased by the mob.
what a nice story these make, kinda like a hiku
I’m not surprised he doesn’t know anything; he’s a random-chance chosen savior. I always wonder why Link doesn’t just sit down and raise his hands to the sky yelling “WHY ME??” And the gods of Idenau seem even more random than the Zelda ones; doing things on a whim for not much reason other than they felt like it. They felt like Choosing and Blessing Blank, so they did.
Which begs the question to me; did Blank get blessed AFTER becoming an orphan, or did he become an orphan BECAUSE he was blessed (and therefor a target)? Or was it all just weird, suspicious coincidence? If either of the latter two, then the gods really have no clue how inconvenient they can be, lol. “Great, I was blessed with great power at birth, but because of that my family was killed to try to get rid of the treat I pose. THANKS A LOT, GODS!”
Frozio is probably thinking, “Which is worse, getting knives thrown at you in a bar, or getting spit on by the hero of the gods?”
to which Captcha replies, her tryysig
Being a hero is a lot tougher than being a villain in this world. I mean you can’t even own cups. Sure the adventures are nice and lets face it… You can beat anyone you come across as you are the strongest being around. It’s just the after part of the adventure that sucks… unless your royality and live in a fancy castle with thousands of servants and such.
Yeah, exploring the daily lives of villains is the main point in this comic and it’s a lot of fun, but there are also some interesting questions to be asked about the heroes… like what they do between adventures, and how they actually feel about being the pawn of destiny. As the comic goes on, Blank should have a little more time to shine and we can develop these ideas.
Thank you! There’s a lot in Blank’s name… that, of course, and also that he’s supposed to be sort of a blank slate – the hero’s not supposed to have much personality outside of being morally rigid, thus Skärva and the princess perceive him as being very dull – and it even sounds like the character he’s inspired by… yeah. Proud of that one.
Well being chosen by the gods doesn’t seem to necessarily mean you know about them. I don’t know how many adventures blank has been on but you think after a certain amount you’d learn something about them.
I hope you have a more than bearable Monday!
Aww, how kind!
Thanks!
Those last two panels made me giggle like a little girl…
Four bottles? Already? Dang, he must be getting near the end of his adventure…o.O

And actually I think that she is perfectly fine with sending him away XD

bahahaha Zelda reference :3
and really. blank has come a looooooong way xD
he looks more defined and 14% more intimidating
It’s the nose, isn’t it? It’s come a long way indeed. He could poke an eye out with that thing.
bahah thats what she said
Yes. ABOUT HIS NOSE.
lol
Good one, PJ.

Haha, good. That’s kind of the point.
I feel sorry for Frozio here. ;w; *hugs him*
Welp! Blank knows nothing about the gods, time to go back to the castle and see what the Skärvas are talking about. XD
“I’m surrounded by such… hairy arms… help me”
Well that and he’s being spit on.
LOL bottle joke! Those never get old.

Oh my goodness he’s sharing his bottles! That is a kindness.
He’s the hero of the gods, but the gods don’t really help him. He does what he does because he’s a good guy.

My Monday was horrible, actually, but this managed to cheer me up quite a bit. ^-^ Then again, the comic always does that.
I’m so glad! Mine wasn’t too great either, but you guys’ comments brighten my life. What a lovely mutual relationship <3
“careful with the bottle, I only have four”
XD
Excellent, and I thought that’s who he was inspired by.
The name being you fill it in each time… so great. so very great.
Thank you!

Yeah… at least Link has the excuse of being a different Link each time (Well, except between OoT and MM.) Geez, Blank, pay attention to your lore. XD
