Again, these first three pages are a little prologue to set the mood. Are you picking up on the themes I’ve been throwing down in my promotional art for this story? That’s right! The themes include: death! I guess you’ll find out more later.

For what it’s worth, pirates in OUR world were definitely more likely be publicly executed than to “rot in prison”, their fates used as an example to discourage others from similar crimes. But capital punishment isn’t really a thing in Idenau, except for people who are considered really really super evil. Like Bladud!

(Edit: apparently I already used this title for another comic page! Well, that’s bound to happen sometimes when you’ve been doing this for so long. I still like it.)
