I love his face in the second to last panel it just says “Kidnapping the princess is more fun, at least I get a slight challenge…this is some silly grab the skull game”

Maybe they thought that pirates kidnapping the governer’s daughter was so effortless that they figured they’d cut corners on difficulty.
Maybe it’s just that they’ve been through so much already. I don’t think the dungeon master here was one to cut corners. He did kinda put a whole island and then a town inside this tower.
Man, how much free time did he have, anyway?
Ahahahah, I just imagine the most lovely voice to that shocking visage, with just enough petulant grump to make their attempted resistance all the more believable-I wonder who of those pirates would have screamed in horror…?
She ended up with the same voice as all the other skulls, although it was disguised at first. :3 I tried to convey that through the font change from “standard female minor character font” to “skull font.” (Handserif to Bustamante. I love my fonts…)
They’re drunk, they probably wouldn’t even care.

I love how Skarva’s not even phased by a skeleton princess. He’s just like… “You are a skull. Why are you even trying to run away.”

He is so over this whole pirate challenge thing. Not that he was ever into it to begin with.
Skarva regrets his decision to not get drunk with the pirates earlier and black this out from his memory.
Also I’m sorry I haven’t really commented in a while but I have been reading along and enjoying.

On another note, you tell us that the body is a mannequin, then tell us not to freak out–aren’t mannequins a -reason- to freak out?
Well, they ARE pretty freaky, but if you don’t think someone’s head falling off a living body is freakier, you have some really intense phobias.
Heh, a good point.
Hmm… Although given that the head was a skull much like all of the others that we’ve seen, the probability of a living body would have been pretty low anyway. An undead body, perhaps, and whether a mannequin or an undead body is worse somewhat depends on how they’re presented, I think.
… But this at this point I may be over-analysing. (I’m tired–don’t mind me. ^^; )
