Where did he get such a tiny newspaper?

And now I naturally woke at 7 AM. What have I become?
Speaking of ads: I just thought I’d shout out to the sites who have sent us some new readers. We advertised with three of our favorite comics: Awkward Zombie, Manly Guys doing Manly Things, and Gunshow. Awk Zomb and Manly Guys are both video game related and hilarious, Gunshow is also hilarious but a little bit out there. However, it is truly one of my favorite comics so you should all check it out if you don’t already read it. Same with Awkward Zombie and Manly Guys.

Hey everyone! Victor’s not posting today because he had jury duty since early this morning, so he went to sleep.
Anyway, thanks to our second advertising campaign, our pageviews today were OVER 9000! I’m not even kidding. I was hoping that we would top that number, and lo and behold, we just did! We got a very large number of views relative to visitors (of course, while also getting more visitors than ever) – which means a lot of the newcomers actually stayed and read a good part or all of the comic so far. We thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for exploring Idenau with us, and we hope you stick around! Oh, and don’t be shy – we’d love to talk to you, so hit that comment button!
Congrats! Glad so many new people are reading The Fourth. I’ve been here since day 1, and let me say, you guys are awesome!
D’awww, thanks!
And we’re just going to get better! I actually went back through the whole comic today, myself, and was well pleased at how my art has been gradually, subtly improving. It’s like watching a kid grow, you don’t notice it happening in your day-to-day life but then you take him back to the wall where you’ve been marking his height and WHOA.
I was going to comment so I made a ‘Gravatar’ but got caught up in that and forgot my comment… Oh well… but I must say you’ve got an awesome story here, both int the comic and your story of making a comic and getting people to read and respond to it! I’ve been trying to get a comic of my own off the ground, and on my part the art is easy, the story is the hard part… So I really think you guys are awesome!
Thank you very much!
Yeah, Victor and I are very lucky in that we have each other. Victor is really into webcomics, but isn’t the best at drawing. (Although I think his art is cute.
) I love to draw, but I’ve always had terrible commitment when it comes to making up characters and worlds of my own. I just could never get myself truly interested, and then wandered off to do more fanart or just draw random fantasy creatures connected by no story. Even were that not the case, I’m a very slow worker and never believed I could update three times a week, but Victor believed in me – and I would certainly get discouraged or lazy even now if not for his faith in me. Without each other, this never could have happened… so perhaps you could team up with a good friend?
At any rate, keep us posted – if you ever do get it started up, I’ll follow!
MOAR
It would be excellent if your email address was actually moar@moar.com. But there doesn’t even seem to be a moar.com, which surprises me a bit.
Skarva really is just not evil/menacing enough if they’re just going to (presumably) hand over the Princess to Skarva without even worrying about it.
He’s never given them cause to worry before. He follows a code, like his father – he would never actually hurt a kidnapped girl. Of course, he wouldn’t hurt the princess regardless; he finds her quite fascinating.
They don’t realize he isn’t above heart-manipulation though. Surely it will be for her happiness, in the end… right?
This is practically her vacation plan at this point, gives a lot more down time with much less hassal than those vacation homes and inns
Hah, kinda reminds me of the movie Megamind, where the villain wants to be evil, but just isn’t quite there. He’s done things so many times that people just go through the motions now, knowing he can’t really cause any major damage. That is, until he takes it one step too far.. >=D
Megamind is a great movie. I didn’t see it until after I started this comic
The princess certainly does treat this whole ordeal a lot like… what’s her name. Tina Fey. >_> But she was a pretty passionate activist, whereas Veronika is like the pinnacle of genre-savvy fatalism and apathy.
Heh, I went back and looked at Veronika’s appearance after you described her, and yes, she doesn’t look like a typical princess. Seems like she really couldn’t care less about the situation. Or maybe I’m wrong. =P See, I have to wait until Friday to learn more, where as you already know. =O
Hey you know what you guys should do for the Christmas special you should have Derk dressing the Christmas tree in bomb like the other panel skarva and blank fight over a present from the princess and ecta possessing the Christmas tree Mr. Floyd as an upset angle on the tree and Davis lighting the bombs on the tree. And if you can think of anything else that is cool to.
Gas Mask
Hehe, well actually I already started drawing the Christmas thingy last night, but thanks
wait… where are Derk and Lorelei? and why are half of the knights fingers green? did he eat to much broccoli or what? ?_?
They’re a little behind. Also, that’s just part of the uniform. He’s got this weird gauntlet half-glove thing… I dunno, it looked cool that way
Bird’s the word.
Love it.
lol. congrats! ur comics been up for almost 8 months!
Nice job C. Good work. Love the artwork style.
The newspaper and glasses were too cute.
